West Coast is Host for First Time Ever Huntington Beach, CA– While America was watching the Olympic torch being passed to Los Angeles, another torch of sorts was also being passed from Carolina Beach to Huntington Beach. For eighteen years USA Beach Nationals has been an event hosted on the east coast. The event was first held in 2006 in Florida, then spent several years in Rochester, NY, and finally landed in Carolina Beach, NC for the past decade. The 2024 edition marked the first time in USA Wrestling’s history that the event has been hosted on the West Coast. Judging from the tremendous support and turnout, it certainly won’t be the last. Beach Wrestling Kicks Off on Both Coasts!

Both East and West Coast Host First Events of the ’24 Season Beach Wrestling is BACK, as the 2024 season kicked off Saturday with the 2nd Annual Atlantic Beach Championships in Atlantic Beach, NC. The event drew competitors from North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia, and featured a spectacular day of perfect weather and great beach wrestling action. First time participants were well represented, but there were also some “celebrity” sightings, including 2023 U17 World Champion Kennedie Snow, and 2023 World Team Member Jamel Johnson. Huge Weekend of Beach Wrestling Set for West Coast Huntington Beach, CA.- If you want a place to spot a new trend, try California. From skateboarding to sand volleyball, the beautiful beaches of the nation’s largest state have always been a great place to launch a movement. Enter beach wrestling. This weekend the golden sands of the Golden State will host not one but two events. Saturday, August 19th Huntington Beach will welcome sand scrappers from across southern California. The following day (Sunday, August 20th) the action shifts north to Linda Mar Beach in Pacifica, which has quickly became a hot spot for beach action.
