World and Olympic Qualifying On Tap This Weekend!

Carolina Beach To Host Major Qualifying Event for Upcoming Beach Wrestling Season! Carolina Beach, NC- Wrestlers of all ages will head to Carolina Beach this weekend for the sand, sun, and FUN that has become tradition at this first major beach wrestling event of the season! This year’s event is expected to have an even higher level of excitement as athletes compete for both world teams as well as coveted spots in the 2026 Youth Olympics. For the first time ever, USA Wrestling will offer a U15 division. While it is not an official qualifying event, participants in this division will be highly encouraged to also attend the 2026 U15 Beach Wrestling Pan American Championships in Mexico City, Mexico, on July 26. Masters Beach Wrestling Goes Global

U.S. wrestlers earn gold and silver at Open Masters Games in Abu Dhabi Article submitted by Mark Dollins Abu Dhabi, UAE- As beach wrestling continues its global expansion, opportunities for masters-level competitors are growing alongside it. In mid-February, the Open Masters Games in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, provided a major international platform, where U.S. athletes Mike Clark (Louisville, Ky.) and Mark Dollins (Connecticut) delivered podium performances against a deep international field. The Open Masters Games, organized by the International Masters Games Association (IMGA), drew more than 23,000 competitors across 37 sports in the UAE capital city. Competition spanned multiple age divisions beginning at 30+ through 55+, highlighting the sport’s accessibility and continued growth worldwide. Talented US Squad Set to Kick Off 2026 International Beach Competitions Panama City, Panama– 2025 U17 World Team member Talon Worden isn’t new to beach wrestling. Then again, he’s not “old” either. Last summer Worden represented Team USA as the youngest member of the U17 delegation competing in Katerini, Greece. Next weekend Worden is back on the sand to help lead the US contingent of two men and five women in the first major international beach event of the season. On the men’s side, Rodney Sabin and U17 Beach World team member Talon Worden make up the U.S. squad competing in beach wrestling.
