Tour of America Heads to Norfolk for a Unique Weekend of Wrestling FUN! Ocean View Pier, VA- There are beach wrestling events, and there are beach wrestling X-travaganza! VAWA beach wrestling director Frank Lipoli believes everyone should have a parade, and he’s bringing his enthusiasm for “action-packed-action” to life in his home community of Ocean View. The 1st Annual Joe Boone Beach Wrestling X-Travaganza (Aug. 25-26-27) will be the largest beach event in Virginia to date. Weekly match ups have been underway every Wednesday since June 21st at the Virginia Beach field house, and recently another offering of match ups has popped up on Mondays in Bockroe Beach. Huge Weekend of Beach Wrestling Set for West Coast Huntington Beach, CA.- If you want a place to spot a new trend, try California. From skateboarding to sand volleyball, the beautiful beaches of the nation’s largest state have always been a great place to launch a movement. Enter beach wrestling. This weekend the golden sands of the Golden State will host not one but two events. Saturday, August 19th Huntington Beach will welcome sand scrappers from across southern California. The following day (Sunday, August 20th) the action shifts north to Linda Mar Beach in Pacifica, which has quickly became a hot spot for beach action. Midwest Beach Nationals Continues to Expand Lake of the Ozarks, MO. – The 7th annual Midwest Beach Nationals took place Sunday on the famed sands of Captain Ron’s, with nearly two hundred wrestlers from nine states bringing the heat. The growth of women’s wrestling was evident at this year’s event, with sixty women taking part in the event, including some outstanding high school and college talent. Mariyah Brumley was one of several Missouri women standouts who participated Saturday. She finished 1st in the high school girls 185 division. Sand Tigers Claim First Team Title

1st Ever Midwest Beach Duals adds new element to Event Sunrise Beach, MO– Who needs a script when you have a dual meet that’s tied with only two bouts to go? That was exactly the situation at Saturday’s first ever Midwest Beach Duals event, held alongside the Midwest Beach Nationals. Ron’s All-Star Rouge Ringer’s , led by Hall of Fame Missouri coach Wes Roper faced off against Coach Marcus Cobb and his Cobb Strong Beach Bears in the first bout. The All-Stars tied the match on a strong performance from Adam Hageman at 165lbs. Morgan Lehman then picked up a hard fought 5-2 victory for the All-Starts at 185, leaving and the Sand Tigers Hwt Bryor Newbold knowing he needed to go big to overcome the 51-48 deficit. Fargo Summer Showcase Expands

Sophomore Event Increases Participation, Awareness Fargo, ND- Each July Fargo, North Dakota transforms into THE epicenter of American wrestling. Coaches, officials, and the nation’s best wrestlers come together for what has become a celebration of wrestling each summer. For the second year in a row, the Beach Wrestling Tour of America has been part of the “Fargo Experience”, with turnout and interest increasing substantially from year one. This year’s showcase kicked off on Friday night with athletes from the local North Dakota teams and a smattering of other states competing in 8U-14U and Senior/ Masters division competition.
