The first every Beach wrestling event in the Bluegrass State was a smash hit with participants from seven states! The field included numerous Kentucky state and regional champions, multiple jiujitsu black belts , and several seasoned collegiate athletes . All total, approximately sixty five participants came out to experience the first of its kind event in Kentucky. Organizers brought great music, and beautiful weather , as well as prize money for the senior winners, a first for the Tour of America this season.
Two Time state champion Devon Herron of North Hardin High School scored an impressive win in the finals of the senior middleweight division in one of the many exciting matches that took place throughout the day. Winners were crowned in 11U, 18U, Seniors, and Masters divisions.
Next up on the 2022 Tour of America is the Midwest Beach Nationals in Lake of the Ozarks Missouri, followed by the Buckeye Beach Bash in Cincinnati, Ohio! Come join us as the hottest show on sand heats up the battle for points standings in the back half of the season series!
