USA Beach Wrestling Looks to send team to Rio!
Botafogo Beach, Brazil– Are you in college? Would you like a wrestling reason to go to Rio de Janeiro? Well….. .HERE YOU GO! USA Beach Wrestling is looking for interested college aged wrestlers to attend the 2024 FISU World University Games and represent the United States in competition. Beach wrestling is now included alongside other sports including Beach Handball, Beach Soccer, Beach Volleyball, Beach Tennis, and Surfing. This week-long sports celebration will take place in early September.
The Beach Wrestling portion of this event will include:
· 3 days of training and 2 days of competition (Sept. 3-8)
· Max. size of USA delegation = 8 male athletes, 8 female athletes, 4 coaches/staff
If you have an interest in being part of the US Delegation to this exciting event, PLEASE CONTACT US HERE! This is a first-come, first-serve offering of team spots. Should there be more athletes interested that we can take, preference will be given to athletes with previous world and domestic beach wrestling experience, followed by athletes with international or domestic accolades (ex. National champions, placers, etc.).
