A Ton of Tour Events, plus US Beach Nationals Highlight Busy August Schedule
The 2024 USA Beach Wrestling Tour of America kicks into high gear in the month of August, with multiple stops across the US, including the 2024 USA Beach Nationals in Huntington Beach, California.
The month kicks off with two tour favorites.
The Kentucky Beach Open in Louisville, Kentucky has been a favorite tour stop from the beginning, with a unique venue and great awards (including prize money for senior level winners). Its a sure bet that some of Kentucky’s wrestling thoroughbreds will be looking to pick up prizes and points at this event.
Also on tap for the first weekend of August is the Midwest Beach Nationals in Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri. The sand at Captain Ron’s will be hot with wrestling action, but the lake is right next door to cool competitors and fans alike in this tour event.
All eyes will turn to Huntington Beach August 17th for the US Beach Nationals. This is the first time in history the event has been held in California, which has emerged as a hot spot in the exploding popularity of beach wrestling. Wrestlers from across the United States are expected to compete for national titles as well as US World Team qualification on one of the most iconic beaches in America.
Three more great tour stops round out the month of August.
August 18th the Chicago Wrestling Club hosts the 2024 Day at the Beach at iconic North Avenue Beach in Chicago, Illinois. This is a 2nd year event but a first time Tour event that offers some great competition for folks in the Windy City region.
The first ever beach wrestling event in Texas hits McGee Beach in Corpus Christi August 24th. Everything is bigger in Texas, so expect a great day of exciting beach wrestling action for wrestlers from across the Lone Star State and beyond. The 2024 Texas Beach Wrestling Championships will be an exciting first time event you won’t want to miss.
The month wraps up in Virginia Beach with the 2nd annual Joe Boone X-Travaganza Wrestling Championships. This year’s event moves to the familiar Virginia Beach field house location and promises to be a great event for everyone on the East Coast.
